Frequently asked questions

  • Grasshopper Soccer is proud to bring developmentally appropriate soccer to Brookings. Our sessions are 45 minutes long for our 3 and 4 year old players and 60 minutes long for our 5 and 6 year old players.

  • At Grasshopper Soccer we introduce young players to small sided soccer. We set time aside each session to play the actual game of soccer to goal for 5 and 6 year old players. We find teachable moments during the scrimmage to build on and practice these skills.

  • No! Parents can sit back and enjoy watching their players learn social, emotional, and basic soccer skills.

    We do incorporate parent/player games into each session so be ready to jump in and play along.

  • Every player will need to bring a soccer ball and water bottle.

    5/6 year olds need to have shin guards to play small sided games. Soccer cleats are recommended but not required.
